2. They have very short life span.
3. Flower of pea plants are bisexual.
4. The hybrid of pea plants are perfectly fertile.
5. Pea flowers could be easily cross-pollinated.
6. Pea plant grow easily.

Reason for Mendel success

1. Mendel studied the inheritance of one character at a time.
2. He carried out experiments to F1, F2 and F3 generation only.
3. He maintained the statistical; records of all the experiments.
4. He selected cross-pollinated plant.
5. All precaution were taken to prevent self-pollination.
