Nutrient Stress
- When the plant is suffering deficiency from all or any one of its essential elements, it is called nutrient stress.(N, P ,K, Ca, Mg, S, Zn, B, Mo, Cu, Fe, etc.)

Effects of nutrient stress in plants
- Abnormal growth of plant occurs
- Leaf yellowing (chlorosis), death (necrosis), lesion malformation, stunted growth, decrease in yield are the considerable symptoms of nutrient deficiency of one element differ from one from that of other

Measures to overcome nutrient deficiency
- Testing soil regularly
- Keeping soil in neutral pH i.e. 7 by using lime in acidic condition and calcium sulfate (CaSO 4 ) in saline condition
- Supplying organic manure, bio fertilizers as well as chemical fertilizers at recommended dose
