Care and management of the breeding boar

• Pure, long, strong, growing fast and better fed conversion efficiency are selected for replacement of breeding boar.
• Care needs to be taken to prevent inbreeding.
• Mature breeding pigs should be kept separated in individual pen having minimum 48 sq. ft floor space attached with a runway of 100-150 sq. ft. area.
• In commercial operations, check boar for fertility and disease issue as this can cause abortion and birth of death pig.
