Keywords are the 5-8 independent words used to describe a research article and provides perfect summary to research. Keywords provides readers and other researchers with an opportunity to find the article by choosing the right keywords.

Keywords, also commonly called search terms, are the words that you simply enter into the database search boxes. They represent the most concepts of your research topic and are the words utilized in lifestyle to explain the subject. Without the proper keywords, you’ll have difficulty finding the articles that you simply need.

 

How to select keywords for your Research Article?

Here are a couple of tips which will assist you create relevant and effective keywords for your paper:

 

  1. Think from the purpose of view of the reader. What keywords would the reader look for that might help retrieve your article?

 

  1. Keywords should ideally be phrases of 2-4 words; single word keywords are acceptable, but they’ll cause many false matches.
