Major role of extension components of university

a) Prepare personnel for various extension roles and provide dynamic and analytic leadership to extension program through a sound, systematic and integrated undergraduate and post graduate teaching and extension education.

b) Collect, process and disseminate latest research finding to extension personnel and extension clientele through appropriate methods and media.

c) Identify field problems to which scientific solution are not yet available and to communicate these to the concern subject matter departments.

d) Produce information materials and teaching aids for extension personnel, trainers and farmers.

e) plan., organize and conduct production and problem-oriented training of various types and duration for extension personnel, farmers and other person related with development programs.

f) Provide authentic and systematic technical guide dance through and up to date specialized farm and home advisory service to men and women farmers, farm youth, extension personnel, bankers, input dealers and manufacturers voluntary organizations and other related with agriculture development.

g) Undertake research on various field of extension education with a view to enriching program formulation and operation and gaining insight in to the process of dynamic of planned change.

h) Undertake adoptive and operational research projects with a view to testing applicability of findings under different soil, agro climatic and socio-economic conditions.
