Purpose of Participatory monitoring and evaluation

  • to build local capacity of project stakeholders to get involved to reflect, analyze and to make more informed decisions;
  • to learn from experience, adjust and take affirmative action to ensure the achievement on on-going activities;
  • to be multi stakeholders accountable and active participation at all levels from the community, organizational level to those responsible for the implementation
  • to share experiential learning and build on what is working and locally relevant. It is learning from experience.
