The extension educational process

Extension education is a participatory educational process and involves five essential and interrelated steps. The sequence of steps is as follows.

  1. First step: Consist of collection of fact and analysis of the situation. Based on this information the problems and resources are identified.
  1. Second step: is the deciding the objectives which may accomplished by the community.
  2. Third steps: third steps is teaching which involves choosing what should be taught and how people taught based on the problems
  3. Forth step: is evaluating the teaching i.e. determining the extent to which of the objectives have been reached
  4. Fifth step: Reconsideration of entire extension educational program on the basis of result of evaluation.

Thus, the continuous process of extension education shall go on resulting in progress of the people from less desirable to more desirable situation.
