Maturity
- Once the juvenile phase is over trees enter into the reproductive phase
- The vegetative tissues are transformed to reproductive tissues with various biochemical and morphological changes
- The stage of maturity is characterized by reproductive activities (flowering and fruiting)
- The attainment of maturity does not mean activities (such as flowering) occur automatically
- During maturity the plant is relatively stable, the application of growth regulators can induce juvenility in mature tissue
- Aging and senescence are the activities occurs in mature plant
