Technical Consideration for the effectiveness of ethylene

  • Temperature: 180C to 250C
  • Relative humidity: 90 to 95%
  • Ethylene concentration: 10 to 100ppm
  • Duration of treatment: 24 to72hrs depending on the fruit kind and maturity stage.
  • Air circulation: Sufficient to ensure distribution of ethylene within the ripening room.
  • Ventilation: Adequate air exchange to prevent accumulation of CO2, which reduces effectiveness of ethylene.
