Conflict

  • It refers to the struggle in which competing groups: in order to reach a goal, try to eliminate an opponent.

 

Characteristics of conflict

  • Conflict is a conscious action, because it is a deliberate attempt to oppose.
  • Conflict is personal activity.
  • Conflict lacks continuity.
  • Conflict is universal and happens in every individual as well as society.

 

Causes of conflict

  • Individual differences
  • Cultural differences
  • Personal clash
  • Social change etc.

 

Types of conflict

  1. Personal conflict: conflict between two people with in the same groups. for example, conflict between two students for class organization.
  2. Racial conflict: conflict appears from the result of feeling. example racial conflict between forward and backward in India; black and white in the United States etc.
  3. Class conflict: conflict between two classes example exploiters and exploited are example of class conflict.
  4. The political conflict: conflict between parties for political power.
  5. International conflict: conflict between two nations. for example, conflict between India and Pakistan over Kashmir.
