Bodies of commercial Bank

a) Nepal Bank Limited:

  • Nepal Bank Limited was established in 1994 BS with an authority capital Rs 10 million.
  • In 2041 BS, this capital was increased to Rs 20 million and paid-up capital has been increased to Rs 15 million.

 

b) Rastrya Banizya Bank:

  • This bank was started with and authorized capital of Rs 10 million and paid of capital of Rs 2.5 million.
  • Now authorized capital of this bank has been increased to Rs 40 million and paid-up capital of Rs 20 million.
  • The main objective of establishment of this bank is to enrich the economic status of Nepalese people providing loan for agro-based industries, trade commerce and other banking facilities.

 

c) Regional Rural Development Bank:

  • Rural development bank was established towards the end of 1992 by HMG-NRB for assisting the poorest of poor women, living in remote areas.
  • The participants, who have land holding less than 0.6 ha with capacity to write his/her name, are allowed to take part in credit activities.
