Major functions of the national cooperative unions

1. To create awareness for the development in farmer’s level.
2. To assist in formation and development of cooperative, formulation of banking for the benefit of clients on the basis of their needs and self-reliance,
3. To help in the studies and research of cooperative development in the country,
4. To provide training for development, management of cooperatives,
5. To provide required information and technical support to cooperatives,
6. To import and supply of agricultural inputs,
7. To take necessary action for the export of agricultural produce for the assure marketing network.
8. To arrange processing agricultural produce through union or cooperatives,
9. Provision of necessary import and supply systems of raw material, equipment and processed products,
10. To help in planning and evaluation of activities run by cooperative or union,
11. To coordinate between related national and international level organizations.
