Introduction to APP

  • The agricultural perspective plan (APP) is a 20 years (1994/95 -2014/15) vision for agricultural development in Nepal. The lessons from the past plans led to the APP to formulate to give high priority to critical issues requiring immediate attention. It is different from the other plans in the following areas:

 

  1. Accelerated agricultural growth essential
  2. Emphasis for four prioritized inputs
  3. Package of priority inputs in pockets
  4. Four demand driven output priorities
  5. Polycentric approach of agricultural development
  6. Institution arrangement for implementation.
