pH and Temperature dependency of enzyme Activity

  • Activity of enzyme α pH value
  • In animal maximum enzyme activity is seen at pH 7.
  • Pepsin enzyme is active at pH 2
  • Aspartic acid involved in catalyzing reaction is active at pH 4.5
  • Rate of activity of enzyme α temperature but after certain high temperature ( >100 0C), enzyme activity becomes unstable.
