a. Middle lamellae:

  • Consists of pectic acid in the form of Ca. and Mg. salts.
  • Hydrophilic in nature.

 

b. Primary wall:

  • Consists of cellulose, lignin and hemi-cellulose and some pectic substances and proteins.

 

c. Secondary wall:

  • Consists of cellulose and lignin.
  • Contain dead cells.
