Definition of cooperative:

– It is an association of farmers and other rural households who have voluntarily joined together to fulfill a common Socio-economic objective (basically raising income) by undertaking suitable business activities, making contribution to the capital required and accepting fair share of the risks and benefits of the business according to the principles of cooperation as reformulated by ICA.
