Marketing of poultry products

Poultry men are confronted with four major problems in marketing their products: –

  1. How to keep the volume of production in line with consumer demand
  2. How to plan production to be able to market the products at the peak seasonal price.
  3. How to produce the quality of products desired by the processor and consumer.
  4. How to locate the best market. The large-scale producer analyzes his marketing program very carefully, because his livelihood depends upon the profit from the enterprise. The small producer are quite often careless in marketing their products, considerable increases in poultry income would result from the use of improved marketing methods.

 

Production tends to high during October to march. The price of eggs during these months is also higher. Egg production during April to August is comparatively low and price are low.
