Conditioned reflex

  • Automatic response that we learnt or acquired from external environmental condition
  • This is first experimented by Ivan Pavlov in Dog
  • Normally, saliva occurs when we see food during hunger but in this experiment Ivan gave food only after ringing bell. This has been repeated for few days. Now, dog starts salivating in response to bell ring.
  • This is acquired by repetition/experience.
  • Eg: if your mom brings chocolates after work daily then after some days you search chocolates in bag.
